Charlie Hobey has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate, strategic consulting, and operations fields.  He recently served as EVP of Asset Management and Operations at EQ Office, Blackstone’s U.S. office company.  Charlie was responsible for asset management, property management, engineering, and construction for 50 office properties comprising approximately 20 million SF across the U.S.  He has led due diligence activities for office portfolio acquisitions and dispositions with total value of $4 billion across 10 million SF, and he has resolved numerous land use issues including ground leases and development agreements. Prior to joining EQ, Charlie was a Manager at Bain & Company, Inc. where he advised Fortune 500 clients on operations and business strategy.  Charlie holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University.  He served as chairman of the board of directors of the Los Angeles Chapter of BOMA and is a licensed California real estate broker.
